3 Easy-to-make Paneer Recipes for Kids

Rich in essential macronutrients and one of the most important minerals – fat, protein, and calcium, paneer is one of the versatile ingredients that ensure overall development and growth of kids. 

Paneer is a great option for parents who always look for a healthy alternative for their picky eaters. Read on to know about 3 super easy paneer recipes for kids.

Paneer cheese rolls-:

Ingredients:

  • 1 – 1½ cup of fresh paneer, crushed
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chilli powder as per taste
  • Tata Paneer masala as per taste
  • ¼ cup Maida flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions-:

  • Add water to Maida flour and mix it well to make gravy for coating the rolls. Make sure the consistency is not too thin.
  • Mix all the ingredients well with your hands. Roll and flatten them into rolls.
  • Dip the rolls in the Maida gravy and roll them in breadcrumbs.
  • Put on the flame and heat oil in a deep pan.
  • Fry the rolls until they turn golden brown.
  • Serve the rolls with mint chutney or ketchup.

                                  

Paneer and corn salad-:

Ingredients

  • 1½ cup of sweet corn kernels (shelled & boiled)
  • ½ cup of fresh paneer, finely cut into small pieces
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1 tbsp well-chopped coriander
  • 1 small finely chopped tomato and onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1-2 tsp chat masala
  • Paneer masala
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Just mix all the aforementioned ingredients well, refrigerate, and it is good to go.

Paneer cutlets-:

Ingredients

  • 1½-2 cup of fresh paneer, crushed
  • 1 cup boiled potatoes, well-mashed
  • 1 or 2 medium, finely chopped onion
  • Coriander leaves, shredded
  • Chilli/turmeric/garam masala powder, as per the requirement
  • 1 tsp ginger/garlic paste
  • Tata Sampann Paneer Masala
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt, as per taste

                                 
Instructions-:

  • Mix and mash boiled potatoes and crushed paneer until there are no lumps.
  • Sauté the chopped onion until they become soft and then add all the spices and sauté for 2-4 minutes. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the well-mashed mixture of paneer-potato and mix it well.
  • Switch off the flame and add some garam masala and coriander leaves (optional) and leave the mixture to cool down.
  • Once it cools down, roll the small balls of the mixture using hands and flatten them with your palm.
  • Put on the flame and sprinkle oil in a flat bottom pan. Let the oil heat and place the cutlets in the pan. On medium heat, cook the cutlets and flip them every after 2-3 minutes until the outer layers get the golden-brown colour and become crisp.
  • Serve the tasty cutlets with ketchup or mayonnaise.
